Our Home
This purpose built, single storey care home offers extremely high quality residential care for discerning elderly people. All its bedrooms include en-suite facilities.
It incorporates a welcoming reception area, dining room, many lounge areas, and attractive gardens all round the home, which our residents and their guests can enjoy.
Although our rooms are fully furnished, we encourage residents to bring with them items of furniture and personal effects to complement those already provided so that their room can become an individual retreat.
Location
Olive House is conveniently situated in a small village some eight miles south of Norwich. The village has a range of shops and amenities.
To ensure, where possible, that our residents have an active social life, regular trips are organised to the local theatre, etc allowing everyone to benefit from external input.
If you simply wish for peace and tranquillity, well maintained gardens and courtyards surround the home, allowing you to enjoy a haven from the bustle of the town.
Religious activity is encouraged by either visiting local churches or utilising services which are provided by local clergy inside the home.
Care Staff
Our care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills in dementia care but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude.
They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
Facilities
We regularly assess each resident so that we can be sure their needs are met and we provide specialised care if required.
A doctor, optician, dentist, and chiropodist visit by appointment providing all the usual services.
Our catering staff provide delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.
Activities
Olive House has the benefit of an Activities Co-ordinator with whom residents can arrange to take part in as many or as few activities as they wish.
A hairdresser regularly visits the home and we can arrange manicures and hand massages etc as required.
