Welcome to our Home

Welcome to Long Meadow Care Home, our large specially converted Home where we provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. The Home is set in beautiful countryside on the edge of the Peak District, with fantastic views over the valley and our own lake. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist support and help with everyday living to those who just need a helping hand to retain some independence. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.

We offer Residential care as well as specialist care for those with Dementia. We also offer Respite care to give home carers a much needed break.

Many of our private bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all are decorated to a high standard.

Relaxing Areas

Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges situated throughout the Home. Our extensive mature gardens boast flower beds and a patio area where Residents enjoy the stunning views of the lake and the visiting wildlife. These areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.

Activities

We pride ourselves on our range of activities to suit all tastes. Our Activities Co-ordinator meets every new Resident to discuss their social interests. There’s always something going on from quizzes to hand massages and music therapy to flower arranging. We use our minibus for outings to local attractions at least once a week.

Food & Drink

Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas has lovely views of the gardens and lake and tables laid with fresh flowers and linen. Our menus are displayed to show the wide range of delicious home cooking available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.

We have themed meals including food and wine from around the world. We also enjoy catering for special celebrations for our Residents such as birthdays and anniversaries.
