About Us

Welcome to our Home

Welcome to Molescroft Court Care Home, built in 1879 and specially extended and adapted to provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist support and help with everyday living to those who just need a helping hand to retain some independence. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.

We offer Residential care for older people and for those with Dementia. We offer specialist care for younger people with Learning or Physical disabilities. We also offer Respite care to give home carers a much needed break.

Our Home is set within three areas, the House that retains many of the original features and the Haven and Annexe, which have a charming bungalow style. Most of our private bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all are decorated to a high standard.

Relaxing Areas

Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges situated throughout the Home. We also have two large and bright conservatories. Our mature, extensive grounds have apple trees and comfortable seating areas where Residents enjoy the visiting local wildlife. These areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.

Activities

Our Activities programme is tailored to our Residents’ preferences including arts and crafts, quizzes, painting and gardening. There’s always something going on such as our popular Summer and Christmas fayres.

We often invite professional entertainers to perform for our Residents and there are regular trips to local places of interest including the Beverley Racecourse and Beverley Minster.

We support the UK National Dementia Strategy which ensures that key life skills are maintained, building purpose and providing nurture for Residents with Dementia. We organise group and individual activities but in our experience it is the one-to-one sessions that our Residents find most calming and rewarding.

Food & Drink

Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas overlooks the gardens and has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.

We have themed meals including food and wine from around the world. We also enjoy catering for special celebrations for our Residents such as birthdays and anniversaries.
