Welcome to Cairnie Lodge Care Home, our purpose built Home where we provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist Nursing support to general assistance with everyday living. Many of our private bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all are decorated to a high standard and have garden views.

We offer Nursing care as well as specialist care for those with Dementia. We provide Respite care to give home carers a much needed break and End of Life care is available at a time when Residents and their families need specialist help and support. We also offer specialist care for younger people with Physical Disabilities.

Relaxing Areas

Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in a number of communal and quiet lounges provided throughout the Home. Cairnie Lodge is surrounded by gardens; there is also a courtyard, raised flower beds, patios and even a putting green for our Residents to enjoy the fresh air. All of these areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.

Activities

Our Residents get very involved in planning our programme of events along with our Activities Co-ordinator. These include arts and crafts, baking and gentle gardening as well as quizzes and day trips to local attractions. Professional entertainers visit regularly and we are also treated to performances by the local school children and the wider community.

We support the UK National Dementia Strategy which ensures that key life skills are maintained, building purpose and providing nurture for Residents with Dementia. We also organise group and individual activities but in our experience it is the one-to-one sessions that our Residents find most calming and rewarding.

Food & Drink

Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.

We have themed meals including food and wine from around the world. We also enjoy catering for special celebrations for our Residents such as birthdays and anniversaries.
