Welcome to Torrance Lodge Care Home, where we provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist support and help with everyday living to those who just need a helping hand to retain some independence. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.

We offer Residential and Nursing care as well as specialist care for those with Dementia. We provide care for people who require Respite care to give home carers a much needed break. We also provide End of Life care at a time when Residents and their families need specialist help and support.

Many of our private bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all are decorated to a high standard.

Relaxing Areas

Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges. They watch television or perhaps listen to music or have some reading time. They also enjoy our landscaped garden with a patio and seating area. All of these areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.

Activities

Thanks to our dedicated Activities Co-ordinator we have a full and varied activities calendar with events planned throughout the year. We often have professional entertainers to perform for our Residents and our mini bus is great for trips to local places of interest including the library, park and the museum.

We arrange special meal nights when we invite relatives and friends to come along.

We support the UK National Dementia Strategy which ensures that key life skills are maintained, building purpose and providing nurture for Residents with Dementia. We organise group and individual activities but in our experience it is the one-to-one sessions that our Residents find most calming and rewarding.

Food & Drink

Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.

We have highly nutritious and varied menus and cater for all dietary and cultural needs. All of our food is prepared using fresh ingredients every day in our kitchens.
